Hundreds of demonstrators gathered outside the United States Embassy in London on Sunday to protest what they described as US-inflicted terror spanning from Cuba to Iran, Palestine, Venezuela, and Lebanon amid the widening US-‘Israeli’ war on Iran. The rally highlighted growing public anger at what participants called systemic aggression by the US and its allies.
“The ‘Israeli’ system of occupation and apartheid has no place in the world and must be dismantled,” said political activist Batool Subeiti. “This moment presents a golden opportunity, as the occupation entity is weakening internally. The more it fractures from within, the more this is reflected in intensified violence. No longer confined to Gaza, its campaign of destruction is expanding to the West Bank, Lebanon, Iran.”

Protesters also condemned the UK’s complicity in the conflict. In a statement, the International League of Peoples’ Struggle United Kingdom said: “We denounce Prime Minister Keir Starmer’s announcement that Britain will allow its military bases and aerial capacity to be used in the imperialist war against Iran.”
The group also criticized Starmer’s deployment of HMS Dragon to Cyprus: “This follows Britain’s direct participation in the genocide in Palestine. As a former colonial power that remains deeply enmeshed in imperialist structures, Britain’s participation in this war demonstrates its continued role in global imperialism — an active supporter of US imperialist interests.”
The protest coincided with anti-war actions at military infrastructure in Scotland. The Stop the War Coalition alongside the Ayrshire Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament and Ayrshire Global Justice, swarmed Prestwick Airport in Scotland on Sunday after it was confirmed that US military aircraft were being allowed to use the base amid the war.
A spokesman for the protest groups said they were demanding “an end to the US military using Scottish infrastructure,” emphasizing opposition to the UK government’s facilitation of US military operations in the region. The protests at Prestwick reflect broader public unease over Britain’s participation in the conflict and the use of national infrastructure to support US strikes on Iran.
The mobilizations followed a similar demonstration in London on Saturday, March 21, when the Stop the War Coalition organized a large rally against US aggression in Iran. Protesters marched through central London, holding placards condemning the war and calling on the British government to cease providing logistical and military support to the US.
