Groundswell News (GSN) is a non- profit web-based media exchange which aims to promote global awareness and citizenship by linking stories from the ground to the broad global public. We connect to mass movements to let the marginalized speak for themselves. We offer alternative perspectives from causes and advocacies often ignored by the mainstream media.
GSN is a community of journalists, editors, media facilitators and media outlets in different countries contributing news, news features, analysis, opinion pieces, and other multimedia.
GSN is run by International Community Services vzw based in Belgium, and Narra Media based in New York.
GSN believes that information and knowledge is a public service and should be free.
